Bruna's
Circle of Promise
I noticed
the things people take for granted in life while experiencing
my Breast Cancer Journey. Many take for granted that they
are financially secure and have no financial worries. These
individuals may choose many alternatives to help in the treatment
of disease. There are choices for supplements and second opinions.
For many it comes worry free.
Then there
are those that find a way to come up with the money as they
feel the disease is life threatening and worth the sacrifice.
They will re-mortgage their homes, take out equity loans and
even tap into their 401Ks. They will find a way to get the
needed supplements and second opinions. Although it may be
difficult to do, it is manageable.
I noticed
while visiting the cancer center for months that there are
those that have no choices. These individuals can only go
one route. There is only one doctor, one way to go. They cannot
afford an out-of-pocket expense. There is no choice for supplements
and a second opinion. These are the individuals that touched
my heart and soul. These are the individuals that made me
realize I would never be the same. I needed to find a way
to help them.
We should
all have choices. We should all have the option to have a
second opinion. The months I went through my Breast Cancer
treatments I promised myself that I would take any blessing
I am given in life and give it back. My Breast Cancer was
a blessing. It changed my whole life. I have the hope and
promise that I will find that turn in my journey that brings
me to individuals and events that will help me to give to
those that do not have choices.
Portions
of my book royalties and anything else I bring into my life
will go toward sponsoring women that do not have choices.
I believe God has given me a vision. That through the help
of myself and others, we will be brought together to form
an organization that will give back the choices to women that
do not have choices.
I hope
someday soon be able to give the supplements that are needed
to build immune systems to these women undergoing cancer treatments.
I hope someday soon to be able to buy nutritional foods for
these women that cannot afford to buy for themselves. I hope
someday soon to be able to give these women the choice of
a second opinion.
I hope
someday soon to be able to make women feel as blessed as I
have been made to feel and in turn they will want to help
others as I do. It is truly the work of God and I believe
in this.
